  • •They manage all the money and programs for alcohol and drug help in the county.
  • •They must check if the programs are working well and collect information to improve them.

Example

A county runs a program to help people stop using drugs. Someone is turned away because of their race.

The person in charge of the program must make sure this doesn’t happen. They have to follow laws that say you can’t treat people unfairly because of things like race, gender, or disability. If they don’t, they could get in trouble.
