§ 33434 Redevelopment Property Sale Approval

• •If the city wants to sell or rent property bought with special money (redevelopment revolving fund), they need permission first.
• •The city must hold a public meeting to talk about it, and tell everyone in the local newspaper at least one week before.
• •Most of the time, more than half of the city leaders must agree to sell or rent the property. Sometimes, they need even more (two-thirds) to agree if they made a special rule.

The city must first tell everyone by putting an ad in the local newspaper. Then, they hold a public meeting where people can say if they think it’s a good or bad idea. After that, most of the city leaders must vote ‘yes’ to sell the building.
