§ 26123 Mold Identification Standards Adoption

Key Takeaways

  • •The government can look at information from experts like the EPA to help decide how to identify molds.
  • •They might use these expert rules to make their own rules about molds in California.
  • •This helps make sure everyone is using the same rules to figure out what kind of mold something is.

Example

If the EPA says a certain type of black mold is dangerous, California can use that same rule.

Instead of making up their own rules, California can just use the EPA's rules to decide if a mold is bad or not.
