§ 14893 Nuisance Notice Posting Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •If there's a problem (like trash or noise) on someone's property, the city must put up a sign to warn the owner.
  • •The sign must be easy to see, usually at the front of the property near the street.
  • •If the property doesn’t face a street, the sign goes where the owner is most likely to see it.

Example

Your neighbor’s yard is full of old cars and trash, and the city says it’s a problem.

The city will put a big, clear sign in front of the yard (or near the street if there’s no front yard) so your neighbor knows they have to clean it up.
