§ 12605 License Ineligibility After Conviction

Key Takeaways

  • •If you break the rules in this part of the law, you can't get a new license or renew your old one for a whole year after you're convicted.
  • •You also can't take any test for a license during that year.
  • •The State Fire Marshal can say it's okay to give you a license if they think it won't put people in danger.

Example

A firefighter gets caught not following safety rules at work.

Because they broke the rules, they can't get a new firefighter license or renew their old one for a year. They also can't take any tests for a license during that time. But if the State Fire Marshal thinks it's safe, they might let the firefighter get a license anyway.
