§ 119321 Body Art Facility Closure

Key Takeaways

  • •If a tattoo or piercing shop is really dirty or unsafe, the health inspector can shut it down right away.
  • •The shop must fix the problem fast, or they can’t open again.
  • •The shop owner gets a paper explaining why it was closed and how to ask for a meeting to argue about it.

Example

A tattoo shop is using dirty needles and not cleaning their chairs between customers.

The health inspector sees this and shuts the shop down immediately because it’s a big health risk. The owner gets a notice saying why it was closed and that they can ask for a hearing to talk about it.
