§ 112255 Discretion For Minor Violations

Key Takeaways

  • •Small mistakes might not get you in big trouble.
  • •The department can give you a warning instead of punishing you if they think it's fair.
  • •They only do this if they believe the warning is enough to fix the problem.

Example

You forgot to put a small safety sticker on your bike helmet.

Instead of getting a fine, the department might just tell you to put the sticker on next time.
