§ 111845 Minor Violation Discretion

Key Takeaways

  • •Small mistakes might not get you in big trouble.
  • •The government can just give you a warning instead of punishing you if they think it's fair.
  • •They do this when they believe a warning is enough to keep people safe.

Example

A restaurant forgets to put a small sign about handwashing in the bathroom.

Instead of fining the restaurant, the health department might just tell them to put up the sign and remind them to follow the rules next time.
