§ 111875 Embargoed Product Removal Authority

Key Takeaways

  • •If a government worker thinks someone will break the rules about holding certain items (like food or medicine), they can take those items away.
  • •The items will be moved to a safe place so they can't be used or sold until the problem is fixed.
  • •This is to keep people safe from things that might be dangerous or not allowed.

Example

A store is selling expired milk that was supposed to be kept off the shelves.

If a health inspector sees the store trying to sell the expired milk, they can take it away to a safe place so no one can buy it and get sick.
