§ 110140 Inspection Authority Enforcement

This law lets government workers check places where food, drugs, or cosmetics are made or stored to make sure they are safe and follow the rules.

Key Takeaways

  • •Government workers can enter factories, warehouses, or vehicles where food, drugs, or cosmetics are made or stored.
  • •They can look at equipment, materials, and records to check for safety or labeling problems.
  • •This is to make sure these products are not dirty, mislabeled, or falsely advertised.

Example

A factory makes candy bars.

A government worker can go inside the factory to check if the candy is made safely and labeled correctly. If the candy is dirty or the labels lie, the factory could get in trouble.
