§ 107111 Radiology Certification Requirements

This law says that a doctor who is certified in radiology by an approved board can get a certificate to run and supervise X‑ray machines without any limits.

Key Takeaways

  • •You must be a licensed doctor (a licentiate of the healing arts).
  • •You need certification from a radiology board that the state recognizes.
  • •Once certified, you can operate and supervise X‑ray machines without any extra limits.

Example

Dr. Lee is a doctor who passed the state‑approved radiology board exam. The hospital gives Dr. Lee a certificate, so she can both operate the X‑ray machine and supervise other staff who use it.

Because Dr. Lee has the proper certification, the law lets her run the X‑ray equipment and be in charge of anyone else using it, with no extra restrictions.
