§ 1106 Public Hearing Required

• •No fines or license actions can happen without a public hearing first.
• •The hearing must be open and give everyone a chance to hear the case.
• •The only exception is if the board follows the special rules in Section 1180.

A pilot is accused of breaking a safety rule and the board wants to suspend their license.

Before the board can suspend the pilot’s license, they must hold a public meeting where everyone can hear the evidence and the pilot can speak.
