§ 9721 Legislative Journal Binding Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •The law says they have to make enough copies of the Senate and Assembly Journals.
  • •These copies need to be properly put together and numbered.
  • •The Secretary and Chief Clerk decide how many copies are needed.
  • •This happens at the end of the Legislature's session.

Example

Imagine your school yearbook needs to be printed and given to all students.

Just like the yearbook, the Senate and Assembly Journals need to be printed in enough copies and properly organized so everyone who needs them can have one. The people in charge decide how many copies are needed and make sure they are ready at the end of the session.
