§ 9121 Project Authority And Control

Key Takeaways

  • •This law gives full permission to plan, build, and pay for a specific project without following other usual rules.
  • •The project doesn’t have to follow normal zoning or building permit rules that other projects do.
  • •No money can be spent on tearing down or fixing existing buildings until a special study is done and the government approves the project.
  • •If this law conflicts with any other rules, this law wins.

Example

Imagine the government wants to build a new school on land where old buildings are.

Normally, they’d need lots of permits and approvals, but this law says they can skip those steps. However, they can’t start tearing down the old buildings until they finish a study and get approval from the government.
