§ 8886 Broadband Council Membership Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •The California Broadband Council has many members from different government jobs.
  • •These members include people from technology, schools, emergency services, and more.
  • •Two members are from the California Legislature (Senate and Assembly).
  • •Legislative members can join the council as long as it doesn’t conflict with their main job.

Example

Imagine a group of people working together to improve internet access in California.

This group includes leaders from schools, emergency services, and even the government. They all work together to make sure everyone in California has good internet. If a senator or assembly member joins, they can help too, as long as it doesn’t interfere with their other duties.
