§ 6160 State Payment Methods Acceptance

Key Takeaways

  • •The government knows that paying with cash or checks costs money.
  • •Using credit cards or other payment methods can make things easier for the government.
  • •It also gives people more ways to pay, which is more convenient.

Example

You need to pay a fee for a camping permit at a state park.

Instead of only being able to pay with cash or check, you can now use a credit card. This makes it easier for you and helps the park office work faster.
