§ 8136 Interstate Water Compact Cooperation

It is the function of the commission to cooperate with a similar commission representing the State of Nevada in formulating and submitting to the legislatures of both states for their approval an interstate compact relative to the distribution and use of the waters of Lake Tahoe, and the Truckee, Carson and Walker Rivers. The commission shall also cooperate with any person appointed by the President of the United States to participate in the negotiations as a representative of the United States and to make a report thereon to the Congress. (Repealed and added by Stats. 1970, Ch. 1365.)
