§ 43855 Judgment Tax Collection Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •This law says a special tax must be collected every year.
  • •The tax money is used to pay back a big debt (like a loan) the government owes.
  • •The tax covers two things: the extra cost (interest) and part of the main debt (principal).
  • •The amount to pay back is decided in an official notice.

Example

Imagine your town borrowed money to build a new park but can't pay it all back at once.

The town will add a small tax every year to your bill. This tax money goes to pay the extra fees (interest) and a little bit of the big loan (principal) until the whole debt is gone.
