§ 38300 City Officers' Extraterritorial Authority

• •City cops can enforce rules in city parks, golf courses, and playgrounds even if they are outside the city.
• •They can also enforce rules on roads that connect the city to these places.
• •The same rules that apply inside the city also apply to these places and the people there.

If you go to a city park that is outside the city limits and start a fight, the city police can still arrest you.

Even though the park is not inside the city, the city cops have the same power to enforce rules there as they do inside the city.
