§ 31909 County Peace Officer Retirement

Key Takeaways

  • •This law is about a retirement plan for county peace officers (like police).
  • •The plan started a long time ago (1931) and is still around today.
  • •It’s part of a bigger system that helps these officers save money for when they stop working.

Example

A police officer works for 30 years and then retires.

This law makes sure the officer gets money every month after retiring, because they were part of the county’s special retirement plan for peace officers.
