§ 31626 Salary Payment Discharge

Key Takeaways

  • •When you get paid, your boss takes out money for your benefits.
  • •After you get paid, you can't ask for more money for the work you already did.
  • •The only extra thing you can get is the benefits your job offers.

Example

You work at a store and get your paycheck. You see some money was taken out for your health insurance.

You can't go back to your boss and ask for that taken-out money again. The only extra thing you can get is the health insurance your job provides.
