§ 29941 Bond Destruction Notice Requirements

• •They have to wait at least one week after the notice is published before destroying the bonds.

Imagine the city has old paper bonds from 20 years ago that no one uses anymore.

The city must put an ad in the newspaper saying, 'We’re throwing away old bonds on June 15 at City Hall because they’re expired. Here’s what they look like.' They can’t throw them away until at least a week after the ad runs.
