§ 29870 County Welfare Aid Protection

Key Takeaways

  • •The state must keep helping old, poor, or blind people with money.
  • •No county can stop this help, even if they don’t have enough money right now.
  • •This law makes sure California can still get money from the U.S. government to help these people.

Example

A county runs out of money and wants to stop giving food money to poor kids.

The county can’t do that. The state says they must keep helping, even if money is tight, so the kids still get food.
