§ 29484 County Fund Allocation Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •When a county gets money under this law, they have to split it in half.
  • •Half the money goes to a special account for schools called the 'forest reserve account'.
  • •The other half goes to a fund for fixing and maintaining roads.

Example

A county receives $100,000 from the state under this law.

The county must split the money: $50,000 goes to the school's forest reserve account, and $50,000 goes to the road fund. They can't spend it on anything else.
