§ 25529 County Lease Publication Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •If the government wants to rent a property for $50 or less per month, they can skip some usual steps.
  • •The people in charge must all agree that the rent is $50 or less.
  • •They can announce their decision in a local paper before the meeting happens.

Example

The county wants to rent a small storage shed for $40 a month.

If all the leaders agree the rent is low enough ($50 or less), they can just put a notice in the local newspaper instead of doing a big public process.
