§ 23352 County Seat And Officers Election

Key Takeaways

  • •If people vote to create a new county, there will be another vote.
  • •The next vote decides where the county's main office will be and who will run the county.
  • •This vote happens on the same day as a big state election.

Example

Imagine a small town grows a lot and people want to make it a new county.

First, they vote to make it a new county. If that passes, they vote again to pick where the county's main office will be and who will be in charge. This second vote happens on the same day as a big state election, like when people vote for the governor.
