§ 22503 Board Delegation Authority

• •The board can let the executive officer do things the board is allowed to do.
• •The executive officer can let their workers do some of their tasks.
• •But if the board says the executive officer must do something themselves, they can't give that task to someone else.

The board is in charge of giving out permits for food trucks. They decide to let the executive officer handle giving out these permits.

The executive officer can then let their workers help with giving out the permits. But if the board says the executive officer must personally check and sign each permit, then the executive officer can't have their workers do that part.
