§ 21131 Safety Member Retirement Age

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a local contracting agency may amend its contract to fix a mandatory retirement age for local safety members attaining the age of 60 when the agency also has established that the age of a safety member is a bona fide occupational qualification reasonably necessary to the normal operation of the principal services provided by safety members. (Added by Stats. 1995, Ch. 379, Sec. 2. Effective January 1, 1996.)
