§ 20224 Board Service Estimation Authority

Key Takeaways

  • •If the board can't figure out how long someone worked, how much they earned, or how old they are, they can make a guess.
  • •If someone doesn't tell the board about their work, pay, or age, the board can guess those things too.
  • •The board only guesses if they can't find the info or if the person won't share it.

Example

If a person worked for the state but their records are lost, and they don’t remember their exact work dates or pay, the board can estimate these details.

The board can make a guess about how long the person worked, how much they earned, and their age if the records are missing or the person doesn’t provide the info.
