§ 16391 Controller Payroll Revolving Fund

Key Takeaways

  • •The Controller can decide to pay state workers using a special fund called the State Pay Roll Revolving Fund.
  • •The Controller figures out how much money to take from this fund and moves it to the right place.
  • •This is just about how state workers get paid, not about how much they get paid.

Example

Imagine your school has a special piggy bank just for paying teachers.

The person in charge (the Controller) can decide to use money from this piggy bank to pay the teachers. They figure out how much money is needed and move it from the piggy bank to pay the teachers.
