§ 16363 Federal Trust Fund Credits

• •If the state gets money from the U.S. government but doesn't have a special fund for it, the money goes into the Federal Trust Fund.
• •The state agency that got the money can ask for it back later to use it for what it was meant for.
• •The money is kept safe in the Federal Trust Fund until the agency needs it.

The state gets money from the U.S. government to help build new schools.

If there's no special fund for school money, it goes into the Federal Trust Fund. Later, the state can ask for this money to actually build the schools.
