§ 15154 Law Enforcement Telecommunications Committee

Key Takeaways

  • •The Attorney General picks a group of people to help manage a special police communication system.
  • •This group gives advice on how the system should work, checks if it's doing a good job, and helps with rules.
  • •The group doesn't get paid, but their travel costs are covered.
  • •Before buying new tech for the system, the group must write down exactly what they need it to do.

Example

Imagine the police need a new radio system to talk to each other across the state.

The Attorney General picks a team to help decide what kind of radio system to buy. This team writes down all the things the radios must do, like working in the mountains or during a power outage. They also check if the system is working well and make sure everyone follows the rules.
