§ 14904 State Agency Publication Distribution

Key Takeaways

  • •State agencies must share their reports and documents with certain libraries.
  • •First, they send copies to 'complete depositories' (libraries that get everything).
  • •Then, they send copies to 'selective depositories' (libraries that pick what they want).
  • •This has to happen as soon as possible after the documents are ready.

Example

A state agency finishes a new report about water safety.

They must send copies of this report to libraries that collect all state documents first. Then, they send it to libraries that only want certain topics, like science or health.
