§ 13296 State Agency Audit Reporting

• •The boss (director) must send a checked copy of money checks (audits) to the money controller.
• •If the money check includes federal money, the boss must also tell the lawmakers and the agency involved at the same time.

A school gets money from the state and the federal government.

The boss checks how the school spent the money. Then, the boss sends a copy of this check to the money controller. If the school also got money from the federal government, the boss tells the lawmakers and the school about the check too.
