§ 12515 State Property Purchase Authority

• •The state can buy stuff that's being sold to pay off a debt the state is owed.
• •The Attorney General does the buying for the state.
• •After buying, the state can say the debt is paid off, either fully or partly.

Imagine someone owes the state money, like unpaid taxes, and the state takes their car to sell it to get the money back.

The Attorney General can buy that car for the state. After buying it, the state can say the debt is paid off, either all of it or just some of it.
