§ 12277 State Records Program Transfer

Key Takeaways

  • •If you work for the California State Records and Information Management Program, you might get moved to work for the Secretary of State instead.
  • •Your job, your pay, and your rights stay the same even if you get moved.
  • •This rule does not apply to temporary workers.

Example

Imagine you work in a government office that takes care of old papers and files. One day, your boss tells you that you will now work in a different office, but you will do the same job and get the same pay.

This law says that even if you get moved to a new office, your job and your rights stay the same. You don't have to worry about losing your job or getting paid less.
