§ 12072 Governor Disability Commission Authority

• •Only a special group (the commission) can ask the Supreme Court if the Governor is temporarily unable to do their job.
• •No one else can ask the court this question—it’s only up to this group.
• •This rule was added in 1966.

Imagine the Governor gets very sick and can’t work for a little while.

The special group (the commission) is the only one who can go to the Supreme Court and ask, ‘Is the Governor too sick to work right now?’ No one else can do this.
