§ 1131 Salary Warrant Certification

Key Takeaways

  • •When a court case starts, the court clerk must tell the right people about it.
  • •This is to stop them from doing their usual job, like paying someone's salary or issuing a warrant.
  • •It's like pressing pause on certain actions until the court case is sorted out.

Example

Imagine a teacher is accused of doing something wrong at school, and a court case starts.

The court clerk tells the school not to pay the teacher's salary until the case is over. This way, the school doesn't accidentally keep paying them if the court decides they shouldn't be paid.
