§ 11160 Department Power Transfer

Key Takeaways

  • •If a law gives a job to a state worker or group, that job now goes to the department in charge.
  • •The department and its workers get the same power to do that job as the original person or group.
  • •It’s like the department steps into the shoes of whoever had the job before.

Example

Imagine a law says 'Officer Smith must check if restaurants are clean.'

Now, the Health Department takes over that job. Their workers will check restaurants instead of Officer Smith.
