§ 23073 Employee Transfer To Dfpi

Key Takeaways

  • •If you work for the Department of Justice in certain jobs, you might get moved to a new department called the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation.
  • •Your job, your position, and your rights stay the same even after you move to the new department.
  • •This only applies to people who are not temporary workers or in special jobs that don’t follow the usual hiring rules.

Example

Imagine you work at the Department of Justice helping people with money problems, like scams or bad loans.

Because of this law, you might now work for the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation instead. But don’t worry—your job, your pay, and your benefits stay exactly the same. It’s like changing classrooms but keeping the same teacher and rules.
