§ 22018 Pace Program Administrator Definition

Key Takeaways

  • •A 'program administrator' is someone who runs a PACE program for a government agency, but they are not the government agency itself.
  • •If a person only helps with small homes (4 or fewer units) or cheap properties (less than $1 million), they are not called a 'program administrator'.
  • •This rule helps decide who is in charge of big PACE programs for energy upgrades.

Example

A company helps homeowners get loans for solar panels on their houses.

If the company only works with small houses (like a family home) or cheap properties, they are not called a 'program administrator'. But if they work with big buildings or expensive properties, they are.
