§ 100007 License Application Requirements

This law says you have to give the commissioner a full application, pay a $350 fee plus another fee for checking your background, and include a sample consumer letter to get a license.

Key Takeaways

  • •You must submit a completed, signed application that lists your main office and any branches.
  • •You must pay a $350 application fee and an additional investigation fee (set by the department) when you first apply.
  • •Both fees are paid up front and are not refundable, even if the application is denied or withdrawn.
  • •You also have to attach a sample consumer‑letter required by federal law.

Example

A small cleaning company wants a state license. They fill out the required form, write down their main office and any branch locations, pay $350 plus the department‑set investigation fee, and attach a sample letter they will send to customers.

The company must send all of those items to the commissioner. The money they pay is collected right away and won’t be returned even if the license is later denied or they pull their application.
