§ 8463 Bait Fish Trapping Rules

• •You can use small traps (no bigger than 24 inches long or 12 inches deep/wide) or small nets (with 1/2-inch holes and no bigger than 4x30 feet) to catch certain fish like carp, minnows, suckers, sculpins, or mosquito fish.
• •These traps can only be used in lakes or man-made water areas. The nets can also be used in pipes or channels that carry water.
• •You can only sell the fish you catch as bait. You can't sell them for food or anything else.
• •If you catch any other fish by accident, you must let them go back into the water without hurting them.
