§ 6701 Kelp Harvest Lease Applications

• •You need to apply in writing if you want to lease a kelp bed for harvesting.
• •Your application must include the number of the kelp bed and its size in square miles.
• •The commission can ask for more information if they need it.

A fisherman wants to harvest kelp from a specific area in the ocean.

The fisherman must fill out a form telling the commission which kelp bed he wants and how big it is. If he doesn’t, he won’t be allowed to harvest there.
