§ 5988 Screen Installation Inspection Approval

Key Takeaways

  • •If you put up a screen, you can ask the department to check it within 90 days.
  • •The department will check if the screen was built the right way. If yes, they'll approve it.
  • •If the screen isn't built right, the department will tell you what's wrong within 60 days.
  • •You then have 90 days to fix the problems and ask for another check.

Example

You install a new screen around your property to block noise from a nearby highway.

You can ask the department to come look at it within 90 days. If they see it’s not built like the plans said (maybe it’s too short or made of the wrong stuff), they’ll tell you what’s wrong. You then have 90 days to fix it, like making it taller or using the right materials, and ask them to check again.
