§ 325 Surplus Wildlife Hunting Regulations

Key Takeaways

  • •If there are too many animals like rabbits or ducks in an area, the government can allow more hunting to control their numbers.
  • •Extra hunting can happen if animals are causing damage to farms, gardens, or land.
  • •The government can change rules like how many animals you can hunt or when you can hunt them.
  • •This doesn’t apply to special protected areas like refuges or preserves.

Example

Farmers in a town are complaining that too many wild rabbits are eating their crops and ruining their fields.

The government can decide to allow extra rabbit hunting for a short time to reduce the number of rabbits and protect the farms.
