§ 2151 Wildlife Import Permit Application

This law says you need a special permission slip to bring certain wild animals into the state. You have to tell the government exactly what animals you're bringing, how many, where they're coming from, and why you're bringing them.

Key Takeaways

  • •You need a permit to bring wild animals into the state.
  • •You must list exactly what animals you're bringing and how many.
  • •You have to say where the animals are coming from and where they're going.
  • •You must explain why you're bringing them in.

Example

You want to bring a few exotic parrots from another country to sell at your pet store.

You must fill out a form telling the government how many parrots you're bringing, their exact scientific name, where they're coming from, and where they'll go first in the state. If you don't do this, you can't bring them in.
