§ 78298 Continuing Rights After Termination

Key Takeaways

  • •If this law is paused or stopped, it doesn’t erase past or future responsibilities tied to it.
  • •Breaking this law before it was paused or stopped still counts as breaking the law.
  • •The people in charge can still take action for any violations, even if the law is no longer active.

Example

Imagine a rule at school that says no running in the halls. Even if the school stops enforcing the rule for a week, if you broke it before or during that week, you can still get in trouble.

The law works the same way—just because part of it is paused or stopped doesn’t mean past or future rule-breaking is ignored.
