§ 77710 Commission Actions Exempt Antitrust

Key Takeaways

  • •This law says that if the commission or someone follows the rules in this chapter, they can't be accused of breaking other laws about fair business or monopolies.
  • •It protects people who follow these rules from being sued for things like unfair competition or restraint of trade.
  • •This law is about making sure that following the rules in this chapter doesn't get you in trouble with other business laws.

Example

Imagine you own a small bakery and you follow all the rules in this chapter for how to run your business. Another bakery might try to say you're being unfair or trying to control the market.

This law protects you because you followed the rules. The other bakery can't successfully sue you for breaking fair business laws just because you did what this chapter says.
