§ 73006 Commission Actions Antitrust Exemption

Key Takeaways

  • •The commission and its people can take actions without breaking certain business competition laws.
  • •This means they won’t get in trouble for things like creating monopolies or unfair business practices while following this law.
  • •It’s like a special rule that says, 'You’re allowed to do this, even if it looks like breaking other rules.'

Example

Imagine a group of farmers working together to sell their crops at a set price. Normally, this might look like they’re teaming up to control the market, which could be against the law.

But if the commission says it’s okay under this rule, the farmers won’t get in trouble for breaking competition laws.
